Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a globally leading science and technology company, as a Sales Representative in their Abrasives System Division. The territory covers: Brighton, Bromley, Canterbury, Chelmsford, Croydon, Dartford, Enfield, Harrow, Ilford, Kingston, London, Maidstone, Portsmouth, Redhill, Romford, Southend, Sutton, Tonbridge, Twickenham, Uxbridge, Watford and all associated Post Codes Job Responsibilities To trial & demonstrate Abrasives & Power Tools at existing & potential end users Find and develop new end users increasing end user loyalty to Abrasive products across the territory by using abrasive product, application and process knowledge. Manage and maintain existing key account end user customers. To develop close working relationships with the territory channel partners built on agreed business plans, promotional activities, joint working and end user support. To manage the margin and pricing requirements in line with the business expectations To utilise the specialist sales, technical, marketing & management support available To have a positive contribution to the overall Abrasive Systems Division business team Feedback on competitor activities within the marketplace. To implement and deliver on any national marketing or sales programmes Handle and manage any product failures or customer complaints Utilise the Customer Relationship Database (accounts, activities, opportunities, profiles, contacts) as a territory management tool. Knowledge & Skills Proven Abrasive sales experience or a background in an Industrial Sales role with a proven track record of success in winning and retaining business. Ambitious and Driven Strong Communication skills Strong Negotiation skills Self-Motivated Team player IT literate and competent with the Microsoft office package Ability to build relationships and operate in a complex organisation Ability to challenge others Qualifications A good level of general education is required Degree qualification or equivalent preferred but not essential
