Overview

Account Manager - Rugby My client, a leading provider of services into the private/public health care sectors with an enviable market reputation for being best in class, is now keen to appoint a senior inside account manager to manage the ongoing relationship between the business and a portfolio of their key and major accounts. This is a newly role in the business and entails working closely with a field-based sales/business development function and internal finance functions to enable the company to offer the best service possible for their customers. Internally based and working largely from the telephone, the role will principally entail calling new and existing customers to better understand their unique requirements a critical stage of the buying cycle. Continuous and consistent contact thereafter forms part of the role as does new customer qualification and target customer identification - so there is some outbound prospecting but only to customers who have already expressed an interested in working with my client. Responsibilities include: Requested information follow up calls to interested buyers Regular touch calls with buyers / Develop relationships and knowledge of buyers primarily in your allocated region, developing a robust working knowledge of regular buyers New Buyer Registration Calls Attend field appointment on occasion with field sales Telephone Business Development for Seminars for both Buyers and Sellers to increase attendance. Support the wider field-based sales team Experience Required in order to be considered for this interesting and diverse position: Internally based sales & account management experience Exceptional communication skills with outgoing personality High levels of commerciality with sales & business development experience Outbound calling experience Stakeholder engagement and able to work as part of a close-knit team/sales function[nb1] Flexibility to work two late evening per week as part of regular FT hours - till c7pm Ambition and aspirations to develop the role and possibly eventually transition towards fulltime field sales Experience of a commercial role within the healthcare/dental/pharma sector is desired but not essential What’s on offer? A highly competitive basic salary of c£24,000-£30,000 per annum is on offer, along with a clear and realistic bonus structure which enable s the post holder to supplement basic salary by up to 50% [nb1]
