Contract Type: Permanent Salary: up to £35k basic commission car Job Elements: - ·To generate new business sales to achieve maximum profitability against annual sales targets set out by the company. ·To identify and exploit new sales opportunities with existing and potential customers and partners. ·Responsible for lead generation, opportunity progression and conversion of new business opportunities for projects focusing predominantly on the food and beverage and hospitality sectors. ·To be responsible for the commercial negotiation of new contracts with the customers. ·To network within core customer sectors and build relationship with potential customers and partners. ·To maintain accurate records of all sales activity within the company CRM system and prepare regular forecasts to enable effective forward planning. ·To maintain awareness of company services and of relevant sales techniques to ensure that the business development role is carried out as effectively as possible. ·To keep abreast of the competition and liaise with the Head of Sales on a regular basis to ensure that the company maintains and develops its competitive position. ·To play a part in the development of new business development initiatives and the promotion and marketing of the company’s services to ensure the achievement of the company’s business plan and corporate objectives. The ideal candidate will have: ·The person needs to be able to demonstrate success in winning contracts in a competitive marketplace - ideally within the retail, leisure or hospitality industries ·The individual needs to be possess experience of selling at a senior level with new and existing customers ·The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a consultative selling style with effective negotiation skills ·The individual will possess excellent knowledge of companies and contacts within the retail and hospitality marketplace ·The person will be able to demonstrate excellent presentation skills ·The business development role requires a high level of analytical ability and commercial awareness ·Strong communication skills both verbal and written in order to communicate effectively with new and existing customers ·The successful candidate will possess a high level of computer skills ·High level of flexibility and be available for work outside normal office hours when required Petrie Recruitment Limited acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
