Joining our Business Current Account (BCA) onboarding team, you'll be helping customers start their business banking journey with us. As a BCA Onboarding team member, you'll need to be sharp and analytical. Companies will provide information related to the nature of their business. It's your job to make sure that we feel confident we can provide our services to them. In 2019, we secured a 100m award from the Capability and Innovation fund to transform SME Banking. Within the banking team we are leading and shaping the delivery of this award to help deliver the transformation in UK Banking that is Starling's ambition. We review new business accounts 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. As such, our contract options (and available shift patterns) reflect this. We offer: * Full time - 37.5 hours per week, shifts usually between 6am-10pm * Part time mornings - 20 hours per week, shifts usually between 6am-2pm * Part time evenings - 20 hours per week, shifts usually between 5pm-midnight Your responsibilities will include: * Performing a risk assessment on new business account applicants * Obtaining information and supporting documentation to complete Know your customer (KYC) and Know your business (KYB) due diligence * Performing due diligence on customer and business documentation using internal and external sources (such as CIFAS and SIRA) * Understanding and overseeing the identification of high risk applications (including PEPs and Sanction matches) * Identifying trends and unusual activity where appropriate * Working to a high standard Requirements * Complete or ongoing further educational studies * A keen eye for detail * An interest in the FinTech industry * An ability to take a holistic approach to self-driven investigation * Excellent written and verbal communication It would be great if you also had: * Knowledge of the regulatory requirements of KYC and KYB * KYC and KYB experience within a financial institution * Experience in decision making upon completion of investigation * Experience in reviewing identification documents * Understanding of CIFAS and SIRA * Ability to analyse, evaluate and mitigate the financial crime risks associated with onboarding Benefits * 33 days holiday (including public hols).
