"The Out-of-Home commercial franchise model is often misunderstood - discuss?" An essay title… or a frustration you share? Selling in an Out-of-Home concept to new retail partners is a challenge that requires an understanding of brand solutions, consumer needs, the practical constraints and challenges of retail and an ability to nurture and drive incremental sales for you and your customer. And… It’s a crowded market-place. There’s no shortage of Out-of-Home retail solutions hawking for space in those busy motorway services or on train platforms. Increasingly these retail formats are making in-roads into out-of-town retail destinations and are competing for space and share with fast-food franchises. Our client have provenance, a unique product and are committed to 'meat-free’, emerging categories and a culture underpinned by a focus on well-being. The business is privately owned, cash-rich and investing in innovation in product and point of sales, supported by their excellent manufacturing base and regional sales development teams. As part of this, we’re supporting them in their recruitment of a National Account Manger for their franchise business. An experienced Sales Manager, you’re looking for a chance to build on your experience selling in branded Food-to-Go retail concepts. Offering you a more comprehensive exposure to food manufacturing, true cost of goods, field sales development and brand strategy, this role looks like a real development opportunity for your career. National account management, business development and regional sales development strategy combine to make this a unique commercial franchise managers role. You’ll be stretching and developing your relationships with your retail partners. You’ll also enjoy winning new business in this space and will have an eye for potential retail partners. Part of a larger national group, longer term opportunities exist to move on within the group into other product areas and commercial functions. Requirement to be in the Oxfordshire commercial office a couple of weeks - so not a complete home-based contract, but there is opportunity to work from home and the culture of the business is genuinely human.
