Overview

esure is one of the UK’s leading providers of Motor, Home and Travel Insurance products, through the esure and Sheila’s’ Wheels brands. We employ over 2000 people across our three sites and provide insurance cover for over 2.4 million people. Our largest office is based in Glasgow City Centre and has a fantastic atmosphere with all the facilities you would expect in an office with 1000 staff, including both a subsidised canteen and local car parking facilities. Role Our Claims Advisors aim to persuade third party drivers to allow esure to deal with their claim directly, for example offering a range of services including repairs, compensation and replacement vehicles. Responsibilities Ensure that negotiation and objection handling skills are used on first call to try and secure the capture and offer of services. Manage own diaries to follow up on any potential capture opportunities that you have been unable to secure on the first attempt. Persuade claimant to use esure Network Repairers and Suppliers informing them of esure products when appropriate, and providing sales and service contact numbers Ensure availability to manage incoming calls which could potentially lead to securing a third-party capture. Identify and feedback all areas of concern involving external suppliers which affect service delivery Achieve personal targets set by Direct Claims team leader in relation to capture volumes and overall conversion percentage. Identify areas of self-development and work with relevant team leader or assigned training delegate to achieve set goals. Skills/Experience A minimum of 6 months experience in a sales-based environment, preferably within insurance, however not necessary Ability to demonstrate good negotiation and objection handling skills with the claimant Numeric and literacy qualifications are required at least to Higher/GCSE standards, together with basic computer skills A self-motivated and driven attitude to secure the capture of direct claimants is a must, as is a determined approach to keeping promises and 'getting it right first time’ A pro-active approach to all tasks with good organisational skills will help the jobholder meet all accountabilities Knowledge of claims processes and systems is an advantage Ability to work to set targets and achieve results on own initiative Salary - £21,696 plus up to 5% annual bonus Hours - Monday-Friday between 8am-8pm.
