You are an experienced telemarketing or telesales professional, probably with some management or team leadership experience, and you’re now looking to grow your career. In an ideal world, you’ll come from a commercial property background (commercial agency would be perfect) though other similar sectors would be considered (ie. working in or managing high volume outbound calling in professional B2B market). Role It will be your responsibility to manage a telemarketing team who spend their time making outbound research calls to uncover business intelligence. Making 150-200 calls a day, they have to be tough, innovative and driven to open up potential clients to share information about their office plans, particularly any office moves in the pipeline. You’ll work with them day in day out: from recruiting them to training them and keeping them focused, their success depends on your leadership. Sometimes you’ll lead by coaching, sometimes by doing it yourself - showing them rather than telling them To begin with, you must be happy making the calls yourself. Be the best caller and then develop the team to help you. Person The Sales Talent Matrix: Does this sound like you? Knowledge: Proven success in a similar role (team leadership or sales management), preferably within commercial property (agency is perfect) though outstanding candidates from similar sectors will also be considered; 3-5 years of telesales / telemarketing / lead generation experience; the more experience / understanding of the commercial property market you have, the better. Attitude: Inspirational, upbeat,professional, resilient, hard-working and focused, you’ll be happy to take responsibility for your own success and that of your team. Skills: Outstanding telesales and telemarketing skills; credible and authoritative over the phone and face-to-face; confident and composed when dealing with senior decision makers; range of skills to overcome objections and close calls successfully; team leadership skills; proven ability to train and coach telemarking teams; good reporting skills to keep senior management and colleagues updated. Habits: Well-organised, punctual, professional and proactive. Package On offer is a salary of £35-40,000pa (depending on experience - more may be available for in-market specialists) with on target earnings of up to £65-70,000pa. Top performers within our client’s strike calling team earn £100k a year so there’s money to be made here for top people though you should bear in mind that you need to be patient on commission - these are big deals that can take a long time to win.
