Account Manager Location: Westcliff, Essex Salary: £30,000 per annum Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm Benefits: Phone, Car & Laptop Objective: To create long-term, trusting relationships with customers. The Account Manager’s role is to oversee a portfolio of assigned customers, develop new business from existing clients and actively seek new sales opportunities. Account management responsibilities include developing strong relationships with customers, connecting with key business executives and stakeholders and preparing sales reports. Answering client queries and identifying new business opportunities among existing customers. In this role, you will liaise with cross-functional internal teams (including Customer Service and Product Development departments) to improve the entire customer experience. This position may require occasional travel. Responsibilities Serve as the lead point of contact for all customer account management matters Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximise profits Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts) Prepare monthly reports on account status, client visits and site audits. Collaborate with Sales Director to identify and grow opportunities within territory Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed Manage consumable budgets and monitor stock Manage the inhouse time & attendance rostering system Deal with site absences, ensuring sites are adequately manned Process DBS for staff when required Price jobs and work with the team to produce quotes Take an active part in Tender writing Ensure the Mobilisation Plan is created and carried out for new sites Generate leads Spend ½ a day each month with Accounts and Payroll to go through additional work or permanent/temporary contract changes Manage HubSpot, our CRM system, entries Process wage queries for staff Create Work Instructions for staff to follow on site Create Assignment Instructions for staff to follow on site Respond to day to day queries & activities Requirements: Proven work experience as an Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Account Manager, Junior Account Manager or relevant, related role Demonstrate the ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organisation, including executive level Solid experience with CRM software (e.g. HubSpot) and G Suite (particularly Google Sheets) Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities Strong verbal and written communication skills To work dynamic hours to support and deliver contracts Self-motivated and able to make considered decisions Ability to manage, direct, co-ordinate and positively interact with staff Willingness to undertake all tasks required for job completion
