Sales Engineer - Air Conditioning Job Title: Sales Engineer - Under Floor Air Conditioning Industry Sector: Under Floor Air Conditioning, Air Movement, Raised Access Flooring, Heat Pump Technologies,Architects, M&E Consultants, Consulting Engineers, Cost Consultants, Housebuilders, Housing Developers, Corporate End Users, M&E, HVAC, New Build and Refurbishment Area to be covered: National - based London & South East Remuneration: £40,000-£50,000 1% Commission Benefits: Negotiable car allowance & expenses benefits package The role of the Sales Engineer - Under Floor Air Conditioning will involve: Field sales position, selling the design and supply of under floor air conditioning systems Responsible for gaining specifications from Architects, Designers, M&E Consultants and Housing Developers Getting into projects at the earliest possible stage (before tender stage) Targeting both refurbishment (80%) and new build (20%) commercial projects New business role, targeting projects between 2,000m2 - 20,000m2 No revenue targets in your first year, but it is expected that you will have 3-5 significant projects in your pipeline (project cycles can be up to 3-4 years) Following up on ABI leads as well as being provided with numerous inbound enquiries National role but the focus of the role will be London & South East as this is where the majority of the projects are Regular visits to our clients UK office based near the Surrey/ West Sussex border in order to fully utilise the design team, training and back office functions The ideal applicant will be a Sales Engineer - Under Floor Air Conditioning with: Must have sold air conditioning/ air movement technology Technically minded field sales person Ability to calculate heat loads of a building, understands acoustics, heights & ceiling restrictions, daylight factors, number of zonal downflow units required etc. Proven specification field sales experience with architects, consulting engineers, M&E Consultants/ contractors etc. Ideally looking for next step up in career New business hunter Smart in appearance, serious business person High end person with engineering honesty The Company: Established 30 years Circa £7-£10m turnover 25 employees Privately held Please contact Paul, Lee or Simon from Mitchell Maguire for an immediate interview.
