Overview
Our client is a leading distributor representing some of the very best manufacturers in their industry. With an established presence within their customer markets, they are a well-regarded, progressive business who champion the development of their staff. Due to ongoing growth, they currently have an excellent opportunity for a technically-orientated Business Development Manager with a background in selling industrial / capital equipment products, to join their team with accountability for delivering sales in the Northamptonshire, Leicestershire and Oxfordshire regions. Role responsibilities: Targeting new business within the territory, both in terms of identifying new customers as well as re-engaging with lapsed customers. Seeking opportunities to prospect target customers through a variety of means. Growing existing customer spend to key account levels. Achieve targets for revenue, profitability and sales growth. Maintaining the CRM to reflect ongoing activity within your territory. Cleansing low and no spend accounts. The successful candidate: Significant experience in developing sales strategies for the creation of new business for a technical product solution. Contract pricing and bid management experience. Prospecting and presenting capabilities. Background in the industrial products or capital equipment field. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. On offer for the successful candidate is a basic salary of up to £35,000 commission (£45,000 - £50,000 OTE) and car.
