Overview
Festival Adviser is a one stop festival shop for everything to do with festivals Whether it’s finding the latest bespoke festival just for you or seeing what the latest festival fashion is then Festival Adviser will be the place to find it… I’m currently looking for a creative who has a dedicated interest in the music and festival world. If you’re creative, enthusiastic and expressive individual that is looking for a role that gives responsibility, experience and a large degree of autonomy. Obviously being skilled in social media is a must. You’ll be a full partner in the business and be making important decisions from day 1 What you’ll be looking after: One of the main parts of the site and yet to be built is the online store. This will need a lot of focus so if you have experience in shopify or similar then that would be ideal Site content – You’ll be writing articles and blog posts on all things festival so we can drive traffic to the site. Making sure the site is constantly up to date and all site links are correct. The site is built using Wordpress so you must have have experience in that. Instagram – A large part of the site’s traffic will come from Instagram so what you’ll be posting will have a big say on the business Facebook – As above how you interact with Facebook users and what you post will be vital in getting people to the site Twitter – You’ll be interacting with other festival bloggers and music reviewers to try and get them to post their content on Festival Adviser You’ll also be looking after all other social media channels such as Snapchat, Youtube, Soundcloud etc with the aim of driving traffic to the platform Other Key parts of the role: Creating competitions and other ideas to help the festival community engage with Festival Adviser Forming partnerships with other companies within the festival world Making contact with festival bloggers and introducing them to Festival Adviser Creating social media content that our users/followers can engage with, whether that’s Instagram stories or Facebook videos… Ideal experience required: A real passion for festivals and music is a must. Ideally a degree in marketing or music Social media experience Instagram/Facebook ads This position is equity only at the moment (i.e unpaid) but we are looking at fundraising early this year and after that basic salaries will be an option. This could be done around a job or freelancing at the moment but will need to be a full time commitment when money is raised.
