We're looking for an ambitious, high-achieving Lead Frontend Engineer (Angular/Javascript) to join our friendly and talented team. About us We're a machine learning and NLP company based in Notting Hill, London, with a mission to give everyone access to the law. Put simply, we use past data to help lawyers negotiate the best contracts, making the legal process more efficient for the lawyer while at the same time making it more accessible for the client. We've built an AI-powered SuperDrafter that can automatically generate complex legal contracts using recent developments in machine learning research. We're backed by world class investors, such as the seed investor of Citymapper, former Head of Strategy at Microsoft and a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs. Our advisory board includes leading professors in machine learning and computer science, as well as Lord Neuberger, the former President of the Supreme Court. Requirements About you You take pride in the quality of your work. You believe everyone should have an equal voice in the workplace. You will be an old skool javascript ninja, understanding javascript first principles vs modern syntactic sugar. You will have great attention to detail and provide meaningful code / PR reviews. You will be able to set code standards and make complex architectural / design choices. You are interested in building an awesome, industry-leading product! Our stack We are language agnostic developers striving to use the latest frameworks to write beautiful code. Frontend: Angular 9, hardcore JS, Redis, ElasticSearch Middleware: GraphQL & Express Backend: Node, MongoDB Machine learning: Tensorflow, PyTorch & various python libraries DevOps: Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, ELK/Kibana What you will be doing You will work directly with our CTO to support, lead and mentor a growing team of frontend Angular javascript engineers, as well as write beautiful code to build complex features that interfaces with the machine learning and backend teams. In particular: * You will write clear, testable code with an eye towards maintainability and scalability * You will be responsible for frontend code / PR reviews and design discussions * You will use typescript but be familiar with JS fundamentals * You will use tools such as webpack, babel, node-sass and postcss * You will collaborate with other engineers to apply OOP principles and techniques * You will proactively handle the design, development, code review, and unit testing of SuperDrafter alongside our technical team * You will have the freedom to own what you do because at Genie AI every employee is a founder * You will share knowledge and grow because at Genie AI we believe that everyone has something to learn from each other Benefits We are a family of tech geeks who take diversity seriously and want to learn from each other.
