Behaviours: Knowledge of relevant procedures Level of customer Service Team Player Health and safety awareness and knowledge Communication Job Description Mitie has a great opportunity to build a new team of Full Time permanent Security Officers to join the Total Security Management Team; and operate out of a customers brand new corporate head office. This will be one of the most prestigious locations within Edinburgh city centre and will provide a great opportunity to build and enhance your career within Security. You will be part of a new developing team of similarly skilled and experienced officers. Note: We have 9 Full Time Security officer roles available for this new contract. Successful candidates will need to be ready to deploy around 15th May 2020. Main Duties * The Full time security officers will demonstrate their character as determined, trustworthy, attentive and approachable at all times when welcoming clients and customers to the building. * As the first point of contact for to all customers and clients, the Security Officers must have geographically aware of their local surroundings. * Must be able to man the phones, emails, IT systems, CCTV and Alarms, Doors and Car park if need be. * The Full time security officer must spot and stop all suspicious sightings or potential criminal activity and retain full control until the arrival of emergency services. * Report to the Security Operations Manager - they must record, report and escalate all sightings and arrests on a regular basis. * Must be able to carryout regular and detailed building patrols, from basements to rooftops. * Will become involved as a team in the running of the building with the facilities team to help ensure a safe and secure environment for customers and clients. Qualifications Person Specification * The Full time security officer will need to be a team player with an enthusiastic attitude. * The Full time security officer should be able to work on own initiative. * Corporate Security experience. * Flexible Approach to work to suit the business needs. * Excellent customer service skills * Ability to go above and beyond to support the client and visitors * Excellent communication skills are required both written and verbal. * It is important the Security Officer is calm under pressure. * Understand the Health and Safety at Work Act, relevant Criminal, Civil Law and Police and Criminal Evidence Act. * Door Supervision or Security Guarding License essential. CCTV licence would be advantageous. * Successful candidates will be required to sit and pass a 3 day first aid at work course if they are not qualified already. * Must be able to get back and forth to place of work all shifts and days allocated. Additional Information Additional Information All successful candidates will be required to under go SC clearance for working within the building, Mitie will arrange and manage this process through the customer for each candidate.
