Do you have any experience of working in healthcare? We are looking for compassionate and caring Nursing Assistants to work in a variety of our adult medical, surgical, gynaecology and orthopaedic wards at Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (KHFT). Nursing Assistants deliver care in every imaginable setting, and are invariably the people who deliver the majority of hands-on nursing care. You will be very much part of the nursing team, and have great job satisfaction from your role. Working as a Nursing Assistant at KHFT is a great opportunity as you will be able to learn and develop a set of skills to care for patients in an acute setting. It could be a stepping stone to start a career in Nursing or another Healthcare related profession. We have an established Nursing Assistant Forum, which provides peer support, opportunities to meet the Executive team, as well as bite size training sessions on a range of topics. All successful applicants will undertake the Care Certificate and be supported through the process by our Practice Development Team. The Care Certificate aims to equip health and social care support workers with the knowledge and skills which they need to provide safe, compassionate care. Shortlisting of applications 2. Assessment Centre consisting of a group exercise and a comprehension paper 3. Face to face interview. There will be a choice of different departments that you could work in and we will look to match you to the ward/department that best meets your skills and our need. The Care certificate sets out 15 national care standards that must be achieved by all health and social care staff to demonstrate that they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide safe and excellent quality of care. This is a condition of your continued employment and must be achieved by the end of your first 6 months of employment you already have a national care certificate you will be required to evidence this at interview.
