Overview This is a vital time for our IT Team as we transform our business. In this high-profile role you will drive business change, delivering projects that improve operational effectiveness and support growth within Trading Business Operations. There will be challenges - plenty of them - but you will be joining a great team and as well as hard work, it is a culture where you will have a lot of fun. In this key role, you will be involved with the following: * Project Management of complex projects including the risks and uncertainty to cost and programme; * Development and control of budgets, financial appraisals, project evaluation; * Managing the Feasibility of projects and executing the planning and consenting process for commercial approval; clearly defining scope, operational capability, benefits realisation and overall justification; * Preparing and maintaining of all project documentation through the project lifecycle; * Planning, scheduling, controlling and reporting project activities to key stakeholders ensuring that comprehensive reporting is prepared and maintained; * Ownership and management of project risks and issues, ensuring the correct escalation route is followed and mitigation is in place; * Management of project resources and ensuring resource demand is planned in conjunction with PMO; * Management of 3rd party vendors who are engaged as part of the Project; Supporting Legal Council with 3rd party contract negotiation as necessary. * Supporting project managers by coaching and mentoring. To be successful, you are likely to have the following skills/experience: * Proven track record in delivering change on a large scale within Trading services; * 3+ years of energy sector experience; * Project Management skills, with the ability to manage complex projects including the risks and uncertainty; * Commercial management skills - including development and control of budgets, financial appraisals, project evaluation, contract negotiation and management and overall project management; * Proven experience in assessing the feasibility of projects and executing the planning and consenting process of commercial scale energy projects; * Strong technology application development, architecture and management experience within Energy Sector; * Excellent communication skills to work with diverse stakeholders and drive decision making; * Experience in selecting, architecting, integration and deploying industry standard ETRM systems; * Comfortable, experienced and accomplished at working with business executives, and able to push back in a professional and diplomatic way; * Highly collaborative and supportive of business and of its ideals and strategies; * Unflappable in the face of opposition to change ideals; * Practical in approach to decision making and problem solving that is principle-based.
