It will be an unbeatable experience. Job Description This is a 3 months Fixed Term Contract (FTC) with possible extension. Reporting into the Systems Operations Team the successful person is responsible for the following Duties and Responsibilities: - Overseeing the support, engineering and management of production databases - Overseeing the management of Managed Services customer's data - Design and architect database and data management strategies for the enterprise - Improving the quality and reduce defects in all database environments - Performance tuning and balancing of database environment - Assistance in troubleshooting of defects, participate in the resolution of Sev 1 issues - Actively develop monitoring strategies for the databases which support our SAAS platform - Participate in the monitoring and resolution of Sev 1 issues Qualifications Essential * Experience providing database administration. * Experience in MySQL/Percona database administration. * Experience with administration of NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, Hadoop) * Strong analysis and troubleshooting skills, ability to work in logical and methodical manner to debug application and database issues. * May be required flexible hrs dependent on call requirements. Desired * Experience with business continuity planning and high availability solutions. * Familiar with business processes and implementing effective technology solutions or enhancements. * Ability to understand and interpret advanced SQL queries, table views, constraints, stored procedures and the impact of executing them in the DB. * High degree of professionalism and strong customer service skills. * Knowledge of Sybase, MSSQL or PostgreSQL databases in production environments. * Experience with Cloud-based architectures, familiarity with one or more scripting languages (Perl, Bash, Python) Additional Information HighWire offers an outstanding total compensation package including excellent health and wellness benefits and a flexible and dynamic work environment.
