To manage the efficient Manufacturing Operations departments at the Manchester facility through effective resource and materials management to ensure that products are manufactured in compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements and meet all quality specifications. Implement continuous improvement activities within the department that are measured through defined and structured key performance indicators (KPI's). ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Manage and assign technical/human resources to ensure production plans are met, ensuring Quality Compliance and Cost Effectiveness, New product introductions, Product transfers and product internalization projects are completed according to plan, quality, cost and scope and the in-process components/subassemblies and finished goods meet the approved specifications before being accepted. Oversee the departments to ensure that all procedures and good manufacturing practices are followed (GMP's). Support the Process Transfer Supervisor on NPI project stage reviews. Plan and execute monthly, quarterly and annual production and departmental plans, according to Company's budget and forecast. Make sure that products are produced on time following all approved procedures and meeting quality specifications. Ensure the department follows all quality regulations. Lead/Support Process Transfer projects and manage Process Transfer as required. Assure proper resourcing of Manufacturing, Process Transfer and Product Testing teams where appropriate. Follow company procedures when performing validations, risk analysis, PFMEAs and Test Method Validations. Lead/Support Product or Complaint investigations. Communicate in a timely matter about the needs detected on the production floor to ensure the correct execution of the manufacturing processes, product specifications, projects and department objectives. Analyze, manage and communicate key performance indicators in order to accomplish business goals and objectives. Ensure production is cost effective, drive/implement Lean initiatives and prevent and eliminate waste (material, labor, others-). Ensure that NPI Product and Process transfers are performed cost effectively. Monitor production processes and adjusting schedules as needed Work with other managers to implement the company's policies and goals Ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed in the production floor and support areas. Guide, direct, motivate and develop subordinate personnel, potentiate the work environment as a key competitive factor among other work places. Evaluate and review subordinate performance via goal-setting and the performance review process. Develop and manage the budgets assigned to the area. Control and manage work in process inventories to ensure proper traceability and financial indicators. Identify and prioritize opportunities (or unexpected results) and drive them to resolution. Develop continuous improvement projects for the facility to maximize the use of resources, using Lean Initiatives, World Class Manufacturing practices. Ensure that all processes are followed and coordinate the necessary training of the production personnel. Timely escalate important issues as required. Use escalation process throughout Corporate teams such as R&D, RA, Marketing, Sales and others as required. Lead along with Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Supplier Management, R&D and others as required to improve process. To recruit along with Human Resources Dpt., personnel as per the corresponding pre-defined job description. Lead and execute tools such as: One on one meetings, open sessions, recognition based on results, positive confrontation, open door policy, effective listening, assertive communication, among others, to foster an adequate work environment. Lead and participate (as needed), on containment meetings, or on any other applicable follow up meeting, to guarantee compliance around applicable regulations and foster world class process. Support internal and external audits from Regulatory entities and Notified Bodies to guarantee the commercial distribution of products manufactured by the Manchester facility. Ensure that Investigations, such as EIR, CAPA, IACA, Laboratory Investigations and similar, are performed on time, in compliance with procedures and regulations. Prepare budget forecasts and ensure compliance with the approved budget. Promote creation and execution of Individual Development Plans (IDP). Remain current
