As a Webster Bennet Operator you will be focused on operating the Vertical Manual Centre Lathe which would encompass the machining of a wide range of materials. This role requires a late or night shiftpattern and would require flexibility across the department when required. The successful candidate will be based out of our site in Havant, Hampshire UK. What are your main tasks and responsibilities? * Machining of metal components in line with instructions and drawings using primarily manual vertical and horizontal lathes * Reading and understanding engineering drawings and instructions * Taking and recording quality measurements * Maintaining a safe and efficient work environment * Taking part in team and individual based improvement activities What do we expect from you? * A HND/HNC Apprenticeship served qualification within mechanical engineering is advantageous * Webster Bennet or other Face Plate Turning experience is required * Background within engineering environment * Ability to read and work from engineering drawings * Clear communicator * Fluent in English, verbal and written * The job is offered subject to successfully obtaining security clearance. Any applicants must hold a British Passport or be eligible to hold one and have resided in the UK continuously for the last 5 years Please note: Late shift hours are: Monday to Thursday 14:30-22:30, Friday 12:30-20:00 with 30 minute lunch break. Night shift hours are: Monday to Thursday 21:45 - 07:30with 30 minute lunch break.
