As a Webster Bennet Operator you will be focused on operating the Manual Vertical Centre Lathe which would encompass the machining of a wide range of materials. This role requires either a late shift or night shift pattern and would require flexibility across the department when required. The successful candidate will be based out of our sitein Havant, Hampshire UK and will work on the day shift. What are your main tasks and responsibilities? * Machining of metal components in line with instructions and drawings using primarily manual vertical and horizontal lathes. * Reading and understanding engineering drawings and instructions. * Taking and recording quality measurements. * Maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. * Taking part in team and individual based improvement activities. What do we expect from you? * A HND/HNC Apprenticeship served qualification within mechanical engineering is advantageous * Strong background within a production environment and working with machinery, in particular Webster Bennet machines * Ability to read and work from engineering drawings * Clear communicator * Sound knowledge of the Marine industry is desired * Fluent in English, verbal and written * Driver's Licence is required and ForkliftCounter Balance/Reach is desirable * The successful candidate must be eligible to undergo base line security clearance Please note: day shift hours areMon 06:30 to 14:30, Tues - Thurs 07:15 to 14:30, Fri 07:15 - 12:30.
