Valuation Manager 48,640 to 55,000 (Grade D18) plus excellent benefits Manchester city centre We're looking for a valuation manager to join our property team at Co-op and help shape our trading property portfolio, securing the best value as our business grows and changes. As owners of one of the UK's largest commercial property estates, we've got a big job on our hands to make sure it's fit for the future, and in this role you'll be helping to build amazing environments for our colleagues, customers and members. As a valuation manager, you'll be managing our business rates liability of around 100m and provide valuation advice across our 1bn multi-sector portfolio. We'll look to you to build strong relationships with our senior business leaders, and work closely with our external partners, making sure all work is completed on time and to the best possible standard. What you'll do take ownership of the business rates process, making sure we're paying the correct amount procure and undertake valuations for statutory accounting purposes, acquisitions, disposals, and taxation across a variety of portfolios on both a routine and ad-hoc basis make sure all tasks are completed to a high standard in terms of time, cost and quality continually look for opportunities to improve and develop the process work collaboratively with senior partners from property, finance, construction, acquisitions and refurbishment teams build positive relationships with external suppliers to make sure all work is delivered on time to a high standard carry out internal reporting of successful appeals and savings back to the business This role would suit people who have chartered surveyor status (MRICS or FRICS) with proven experience post qualification business rates or valuation experience excellent relationship building and engagement skills, right up to executive level analytical skills, the ability to interpret leases, property transactions and values worked with a large, dynamic property portfolio strong organisational skills, able to work on multiple projects to tight deadlines Why Co-op?
