Are you a Pharmacy Dispenser looking for something different? Welcome to Phlo - the digital pharmacy of the future. Phlo delivers NHS and private prescriptions when and where a patient needs them. Due to significant increases in demand of the Phlo service, we are looking to hire a dispenser to work alongside the Phlo Pharmacy team. Phlo is an innovative online pharmacy based in Hackney, London. As a company, we believe that healthcare is too important to be hard to manage. We aim to empower patients by giving them full control of their healthcare, by delivering their acute and repeat NHS and private prescriptions across London via our real-time, same-day delivery service and across England via the Royal Mail. Phlo is looking for UK-qualified dispensers (NVQ2) with high attention to detail, who are hardworking, problem solvers, empathetic, and are passionate about providing the very best in clinical care. Phlos pharmacy team work together to improve the product and experience of patients every single day. There is no other online pharmacy in the UK that offers a real-time, same-day delivery service to patients. Every patient trusts Phlo as their pharmacy to deliver medications when and where they need them. Therefore, as part of our Pharmacy team, its imperative we go above and beyond for each patient to fulfil our promise. Requirements * Has a UK Dispensing Qualification (NVQ Level 2 dispensary assistant qualification) * Is able to work full time (40h/week) Monday to Friday (may consider part-time applications depending on experience) * Fast, accurate and efficient worker * Experience in community pharmacy dispensing NHS prescriptions (desirable, not essential) * Experience of dispensing for an online pharmacy (desirable, not essential) * Interest in the wider digital health sector * Good understanding of the NHS prescription system * Superb organisational skills and an ability to expertly juggle and prioritise several tasks at the same time * A can-do attitude: going above and beyond to get tasks done * An appreciation for the importance of respect and confidentiality in healthcare * Has exceptional communication skills: verbal and written * Willing to work in a team whilst also thriving when working independently * Have knowledge and capability of using pharmacy PMR systems * Is willing to undergo a full DBS check * Dispensing prescriptions * Using computer systems to generate dispensing labels * Assembling and labelling medicines * Referring problems or queries to the on-duty pharmacist * Liaising with courier drivers and Royal Mail representatives, ensuring the correct packages leave the pharmacy. * Receiving, and unloading deliveries from wholesale suppliers * Gather, organise, and assess patient information * Undertake other reasonable duties within the framework of the post as directed by the Pharmacy Manager * Cleaning work surfaces and shelving on a regular basis and ensuring that all dispensary equipment is kept clean and kept in good working order * Ensuring that refrigerated items are stored at the appropriate temperature and maintaining the temperature control record/logbook * Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, pharmacy environment An idea of what your day-to-day will look like This role requires daily use of tech platforms out-with usual pharmacist tools. Please note as Phlo is a distance pharmacy you will not be required to engage with patients face to face at the pharmacy. All patient communications are carried out via telephone and email. Full training will be provided however a willingness to learn about these platforms is vital. As a Digital Healthcare company, the ideal candidate will have an interest in the sector and be able to demonstrate knowledge of the digital pharmacy sector.
