As a Machine Operator you will focused on working on thevarious surface grinders within the specified manufacturing cell.This role requiresa late or night shift pattern and would require flexibility across the department when required.The successful candidate will be based out of our sitein Havant, Hampshire UK. What are your main tasks and responsibilities? * Work to engineering drawings to ensure accurate manufacturing of products * Setting and running surface grinder machines across the manufacturing cell * Loading jogs and fixtures qhilst ensuring accuracy within the grinding angles, setting feeds and speeds * Cleaning down of machines between running different products * Ensure the preparation of completed equipment is ready for testing * Adhere to Health & Safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment is maintained * Support with continuous improvement activities within the operating processes and procedures What do we expect from you? * A HND/HNC Apprenticeship served qualification within mechanical engineering is advantageous * Strong background within a production environment and working with machinery, in particular grinding machines * Ability to read and work from engineering drawings * Clear communicator * Sound knowledge of the Marine industry is desired * Fluent in English, verbal and written * The job is offered subject to successfully obtaining security clearance. Any applicants must hold a British Passport or be eligible to hold one and have resided in the UK continuously for the last 5 years Please note: Late shift hours are: Monday to Thursday 14:30-22:30, Friday 12:30-20:00 with 30 minute lunch break. Night shift hours are: Monday to Thursday 21:45 - 07:30with 30 minute lunch break.
