Senior Instock Manager

Amazon ,
London, Greater London

Overview

Job Description

Amazon's supply-chain has a scale and complexity that our suppliers can sometimes struggle to understand or fully utilise. We have high expectations of compliance for physical deliveries into an increasing number of Fulfilment Centres. Our systems often mystify suppliers, from understanding procurement logic and buying, through to our reason for return due to our systems identifying items as overstocked. We offer multiple logistics progammes from direct ship models such as dropship to carrier management. We want to drive Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) integration with vendors, and then enforce a high bar on the quality of the data being shared, with high rates of order acceptance and supply. In order to make this happen we need an increasingly deep operational collaboration with our vendors. Instock Managers drive this collaboration. A Senior Instock Manager will build an in depth understanding of both Amazon's commercial frameworks, operational processes and programs. Underpinned by this, they will work with our largest vendors to improve daily operations that will maximise product availability and minimise delivery speed for our customers, whilst reducing our overall cost to serve. It will be a highly rewarding experience to be able to focus on optimising the end-to-end supply chain from vendor to customer. Amazon seeks someone excited by collaborating with our vendors, our fulfilment operations teams, and our supply chain tech teams for this role. Your focus will be on vendor operational performance and strategy, and how this directly impacts the P&L. You will work within both a UK and EU scope. You will own supply chain relationships with some of Europe's largest retail vendors. You will also own key operational KPIs for UK Hardlines, finding ways to work at scale across the wider vendor base, whilst educating internal colleagues regarding the need to drive automation and operational excellence. You will own projects and programs that deliver cost efficiencies to EU Hardlines, directly impacting our customers through allowing them to access more selection, and receive it more quickly. You will be expected to visit vendors and other Amazon sites across the EU when required.
