In Keynsham, near Bristol, you'll support five young adults with learning disabilities and autism at home and in the community to live life more freely. You don't necessarily need experience as we provide full training. Coronavirus update: As a key worker, you'll provide essential services, and you'll receive full training, equipment and support. You will need to be available and able to carry out your role during the Coronavirus pandemic. You'll join our friendly team, enabling the individuals to increase their independence and lead full and active lives; there's lots of variety. You'll support the individuals in all aspects of daily living; from cooking to managing finances. Supporting people with their personal care and medication needs is also key. You'll also support the individuals to do things in their community; from shopping and going on day trips to sport and volunteering. There is some one-to-one support. If you have experience as a care assistant or care worker in a care home, you'll discover we provide plenty of on-going training, support to achieve relevant qualifications and career progression. Respectful of people's differences, you can build professional relationships and have a flexible approach. Skills in building relationships and mental health would be an advantage. You can work 24/7 shifts including weekends and evenings / nights. A full driving licence is essential. All support workers work flexible shifts to provide a 24/7 service to the people we support. Full-time support workers work 37.5 hours plus one sleep-in a week (pay for these sleep-ins is included in the annual salary figures shown above). We also have some services where sleep-ins are not required. The salary for these roles is 17,051 - 17,774 pa. All support workers have the option of working additional hours or sleep-ins in a range of services and are paid 50-70 extra per sleep-in. We provide a range of benefits.
