Reporting into the Solution Architecture team, you'll join a client-facing team of Solution Designers, capturing, devising and pricing technical solutions for our clients. You'll be involved in a progressive pre-sales technical team in a fast growing technology company. You'll be a driven, organised team-player who is interested in applying their passion for Information Technology in a fast-paced but practical, client-centric environment. The focus will be on giving you an opportunity to learn the complete lifecycle, from capturing requirements to final design.Job Description Key Responsibilities and learning opportunities * Learn the fundamentals of IT managed services (Public and Private Cloud technologies such as VMware, AWS and Azure) and how it can transform a business. * Learn how hardware, software and services are used to create coherent designs. * Support our Solution Architects by capturing and documenting technical designs. * Take on responsibility for simple design and pricing work. * Learn about the lifecycle of a sales opportunity, from initial prospect to winning the business. * Learn the importance of client communication and effective requirement gathering technique. * Collaborate with other team members on departmental objectives and work/tasks. * Key participation in our Associate Shared Value initiatives including, Charity & Community team, Health & Wellbeing team, Events & Social team, Culture & Diversity team and Green team. Key Requirements * You must be enrolled on an undergraduate degree with a broad technical understanding of Information Technology or technical IT design that allows you to complete a 12-month placement starting in July 2019 * You enjoy technology and people. You're a quick learner and you are comfortable communicating with people on the phone or in person. * You have excellent communication, time management and problem-solving skills. * You possess a high degree of integrity, and the ability to work with confidential information. * High level of proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, & Excel. * Full work authorisation is required. * Align to our key values of reliability, curiosity, passion, collaboration and honesty.
