Despite tremendous advances in the field, HIV is still a global epidemic with an unequally heavy impact among the most marginalized populations. In this role, you will be a key conduit for the global commercial strategy development and execution for our HIV therapies in multiple markets. Across the product lifecycle, you'll be partnering with local markets to execute our global HIV strategy consistently and share best practices. As part of a cross-functional team, your efforts will focus on delivering current and new treatment therapies to patients in need across the world. **Key Responsibilities** Reporting to the Executive Director, HIV Franchise Strategy & Operations within the Global Commercial Product Strategy team, this role will: + Communicate the integrated global commercial strategy for HIV to markets within the Intercontinental Region (ICR) to maintain and expand our global market position, ensuring the strategy is well-understood and providing input into local execution + Plan and implement communications of GCPS strategy and initiatives to ICR markets with operational rigor, driving cross-functional alignment and collaboration + Champion the global brand profile, messaging and value proposition as well as global reimbursement and pricing strategy with local markets, and transfer key learnings and insights between the global marketing team and local markets + Collect, codify and disseminate commercial tactic best practices across local markets, participate in working sessions and discussions, and lead regional forums to share practices and coordinate the execution of the global strategy + Thought partner with local counterparts, reviewing and challenging their country POAs and country-specific brand plans, embedding best practices, providing reactive feedback and input to ensure alignment to GCPS global strategy + Your ultimate benchmark will be the successful local execution of the global commercial strategy across multiple non-core markets that maximizes the overall value of the asset and patient access across the product lifecycle **Knowledge, Skills and Experience** We're seeking a strategic, experienced marketing expert with: + At least 12 years of relevant commercial experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry + Experience in local or regional product strategy and annual plan implementation; experience in product marketing preferred + A proven track record in cross-geography collaboration and as a business partner with multiple stakeholders, directly contributing to teams to achieve overall objectives + Very strong facilitation and counseling skills, particularly with individuals from diverse work cultures + Highly resourceful and strategic thinker with strong emotional intelligence, operational rigor and project management capabilities + Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence and work successfully with varied audiences and executives + B.A. or B.S. required, MBA and/or advanced degree in life sciences or medical degree preferred **The Gilead Difference** Everyone at Gilead is motivated by our overarching mission to discover and deliver innovative therapies that improve patient care in areas of unmet medical needs.
