Overview This is a vital time for our IT Team as we transform our business. As Senior Business Analyst IT Trading, you will support the wider business in the implementation of IT projects and be link between the business and IT. Playing a pivotal part in ensuring that business requirements are fed back into the project team and converted into functional specifications. There will be challenges - plenty of them - but you will be joining a great team and as well as hard work, it is a culture where you will have a lot of fun. In this key role, you will be involved with the following: * Conducting interviews to gather user requirements via workshops, questionnaires, surveys, workflow storyboards, use cases scenarios and other methods; * Identify and establish scope and parameters of requirements analysis on project-by-project basis to define project impact, outcome criteria and metrics; * Work with stakeholders, project and application maintenance team to prioritize collected requirements; * Analyze and verify requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards; * Develop and utilize standard templates to accurately and concisely write requirements specifications; * Contribute to the implementation of the system; * Test the newly implemented systems and features; To be successful, you are likely to have the following skills/experience: * At least 4 years' in the energy sector with experience in producing functional analyses for Trading Operations; * Work experience in an Architecture, Design, Development or Business Analyst role with direct exposure to complex ETRM implementation projects; * Experienced in applying modelling languages to analyse and document designs; * Hands-on software development and design experience in a complex information system context (ETRM); * Experience in setting up automated software development lifecycle; * Strong analytical and structured way of thinking, high organizational skills and IT affinity; * Knowledge of the technical, environmental and planning constraints surrounding the development of retail and renewable energy, decentralized and flexible generation projects Knowledge of wholesale energy markets, retail supply offtake, regional sales markets as well as market rules and regulations; * ETRM expertise, preferably based on Allegro, with decent understanding of deal lifecycle, portfolio management, back office and risk processes; * Knowledge of the technical, environmental and planning constraints surrounding the development of retail and renewable energy, decentralized and flexible generation projects; What else do we offer? * A commitment to smarter working - we recognise your work/life balance; * Excellent benefits package including private medical insurance/dental cover for all staff & 7% non-contributory pension; Check out all our current open positions: Our Privacy Policy is here: Apply for this Job
