Change Grow Live, New Direction is an Integrated Recovery Service in Lewisham. It provides rapid access to a range of interventions and treatment options for adults experiencing problems with drugs and/or alcohol, promoting a focus on recovery and independence. Individuals will need to be motivated, enthusiastic, committed and driven in order to meet the expectations of these challenging and rewarding roles. Our service aims at encouraging and empowering people to regain control of their lives and motivate them to improve their health and wellbeing. As directed by management and line managed by the Clinical Team Lead, the post-holder will be an integral member of a multi-disciplinary team within Lewisham, leading on BBV testing, wellbeing interventions, blood borne virus screening, health and wellbeing assessments, supporting drug and alcohol prescribing and detoxification programs and support the team in the development and delivery of clinical health. You will undertake duties involved in the day to day operation, management and development of drug and alcohol prevention, treatment, recovery and well being interventions. Specific duties will also include single point of contact within the team and for external agencies for dual diagnosis agencies; Liaison and in reach to other services in the borough with a dual diagnosis remit assessments of health and wellbeing needs, leading on a BBV testing and vaccination programme. Supporting the work of Lewisham's Hep C specialist team and community based sexual health services. You will have excellent engagement skills, be committed to high quality service provision and the active involvement of service users. You will have some training of relevance and or qualifications and desirable experience when it comes to addressing substance misuse issues. You will be required to work flexibly as required and work openly to maintain the most appropriate level of service provision.
