Works will include installing a new ducted infrastructure system, installing overhead electronic signs and central barrier replacement work. What will I be doing? * Ensuring that programme pressure is never prioritised ahead of safe working practices * Allowing sufficient time in the schedule to safely complete the task * Ensuring that the construction sequence is safe to build and actively attempt to eliminate or reduce potential hazards where possible in the sequence * Maintaining the integrity of the P6 project schedule * Monitoring and reporting progress accurately and honestly, driving a 'no surprises' culture * Ensuring the programme reflects the current works information * Integrating within the production team to promote key milestones and communication of the schedule * Deputising for the Planning Manager, covering all aspects as and when required * Promoting and engaging in collaborative planning with all stakeholders * Proactively seeking opportunities to better the schedule and offer time savings * Working with the commercial team to profile risk allowance against the construction programme * Ensuring the programme is cost and resource loaded * Providing coaching and support to the planner and apprentice planner You'll be a welcomed member of the wider team, with opportunities to take on additional responsibility, join one of our networks for women, military or LGBT+ staff, and participate in cultural and social events with the local community (e.g. as a STEM ambassador). About you * An advanced user in primavera P6 planning software * Experience with TiLos planning software desirable * Able to create and manage high quality complex programmes for the safe delivery of major infrastructure works * Proficient in managing change, cost and earned value within a schedule * Can assess and understand the impact of delay and disruption on the schedule and communicate accordingly in line with the contract * Administer comprehensive project controls systems to maintain the integrity of the schedule * Manage stakeholders at all levels and deliver relevant programme information to required timescales * Financial and commercial awareness with understanding of the cost control function * Advanced proficiency in Microsoft tools (word, excel and PowerPoint) * Confident in producing monthly submission documentation to the client in line with NEC3 requirements * To work quickly to produce programmes requested at a short notice * Confidently read drawings, specifications and contract inform
