Job Description
Job Title: ICG Risk & Control: EMEA Region and ICG Legal Vehicle Program Lead Officer level: Managing Director Business: Institutional Client Group (ICG) Location: London Overview: This new role is part of ICG Risk & Control Leadership Team and has two elements: (1) working with ICG Business partners, Citi regional Management and Second Line functions to support the Head of ICG Risk & Control in the further development of the ICG Business' end to end control framework over legal vehicle governance and controls, particularly supporting local supervisory oversight and governance processes; and (2) supporting EMEA Regional Management in the oversight of the ICG Risk & Control portfolio within the EMEA region. With respect to the ICG legal Vehicle Program, the role will work with existing in-business control resources across ICG and with Control Function Colleagues to: + Lead the design of an end to end control framework to support the oversight of ICG activities by key legal vehicle governance structures; + Develop enhanced policy and governance for key legal entities to improve local oversight of cross jurisdictional activity; and + Oversee the execution of a multi-disciplinary group to implement that control framework across jurisdictions. In addition, and complimentary to this global program role, as EMEA regional Lead for ICG Risk & Control, the incumbent will work with the Citi EMEA Management Team to oversee and challenge the effectiveness of the ICG Control framework in EMEA, including representation of the ICG Risk & Control portfolio of remediation activities within the EMEA risk governance framework. The individual will be part of the ICG Risk & Control Leadership team, working with counterparts across other ICG businesses to share control best practices. Responsibilities: + Work with in-business control resources to co-ordinate key control remediation's across the ICG business in EMEA + Provide support to the EMEA and UK BRCC to ensure a robust assessment of the ICG control environment is provided to the EMEA Management to facilitate effective oversight for control risk + Lead the design and execution of a plan to implement leading practice control frameworks across key ICG businesses and jurisdictions + Work with control partners and Internal Audit to facilitate control remediation efforts and the audit coverage of the business in EMEA Qualifications & skills: + Detailed expertise of Investment Banking business activities and associated key regulations, particularly the UK SMCR + Senior experience in control risk control frameworks including legal vehicle frameworks + Excellent oral and written communications skills; must be articulate and persuasive with the judgement and authority to provide insightful commentary to senior stakeholders. + Ability to drive change to business practices by working effectively across a global organisation. + Self-starting with the ability to multitask and prioritize + Project management and change capabilities are essential + Capable of prioritizing and multi-tasking in a dynamic, fast paced environment. + Demonstrated analytical skills with follow-up and problem solving capability + Ability to analyse a process and recommend ways to improve quality, controls, and efficiency ----- Grade :All Job Level - All Job FunctionsAll Job Level - All Job Functions - GB ----- Time Type : ----- Citi is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
