Job Description

A Senior Telecoms/ Network Engineer is required by a successful and expanding business based in Blandford Forum. You must have strong networking skills, have experience working with telecommunications products, and be competent in designing and supporting core networks. The position will initially be based from home, however there will also be flexibility to work remotely around two days per week after Covid-19 restrictions. Responsibilities: You will be responsible for the design, performance and support of network infrastructure whilst supporting the rollout of superfast fibre internet in rural areas. Skills/Requirements: * Must have a strong background working with telecoms solutions, preferably within an Internet Service Provider, and have good experience of some or all of the following technologies: * Internet network design (PoP, Backbone and Backhaul) * Networking protocols (IP, Ethernet) * Switched networks (VLANS, NAT, Spanning Tree Switching, LAG and MLAG) * Routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS) * Firewalls * Scalable enterprise network architectures * Additional knowledge of Linux servers (Debian and Centos) and multicast routing (PIM and IGMP) is desirable Salary/Benefits: Salary is up to around £40,000 p.a. however this could be slightly negotiable for the right person depending on relevant skills and experience. The company also offers an excellent range of benefits including monthly bonuses, free on-site parking, excellent potential and ongoing support for personal and career training and development, and holiday allowance that increases to 25 days per year. Additional bonuses and benefits are currently in review. There is also some flexibility to work remotely up to 2 days per week.
