Job Description
A Senior Network Engineer is required by a successful and growing telecommunications company based in Dorset. You must have strong networking skills, experienced in the telecommunications industry, and be competent in designing and supporting core networks. Responsibilities: You will be responsible for the design, performance, and support of network infrastructure whilst supporting the rollout of superfast fibre internet in rural areas Skills/Requirements: * Must have a strong background working within the telecoms industry and experience of some or all of the following: * Internet network design (PoP, Backbone and Backhaul) * Networking protocols (IP, Ethernet) * Switched networks (VLANS, NAT, Spanning Tree Switching, LAG and MLAG) * Routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS) * Firewalls * Scalable enterprise network architectures * Additional knowledge of Linux servers (Debian and Centos) and multicast routing (PIM and IGMP) is desirable Salary/Benefits: Salary is up to around £40,000 p.a., however there may be some flexibility depending on experience.
