This is a particularly exciting opportunity due to it being a brand-new role, meaning that there is the scope to design and implement new ways of working for the London operations, whilst also building, coaching and motivating your new world class team from scratch, working closely and partnering with our other sites in the UK. What You'll Do: * Supervise the functions and working of the warehouse workers and delivery drivers. * Work closely and efficiently with the delivery center's Depot Manager to ensure the overall building outperforms expectations. * Organize and conduct necessary training activities for the staff and workers. * Supervise proper shift allocations and ensure efficiency of all staff. * Arrange necessary resources as required to ensure the transport plan is covered. * Plan and Manage WDN driver deliveries and collections to customers and locations as required. * Track real-time and report on weekly spend and financial activity. * Ensure Legislative requirements are monitored and adhered to including driver's hours and vehicle compliance. * Accurately, quickly, and clearly answer questions related to your area of focus. * Manage 3PL relationships that support the WDN transport operation. * Ensure high levels of Customer Service are maintained in the Transport operation to provide best in class customer experiences at every opportunity. What You'll Need: * Minimum 2 years of management experience in similar environment (Parcels / Large Parcels preferred) at a supervisory or similar level * A customer-centric approach, and the ability to build positive partnerships with internal and external groups to optimize performance * Must be flexible and able to work weekends (when required) * Proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement and driving process improvements * Strong leadership skills, ability to build and manage teams and hold an engaging daily meeting with your team * Must have a good understanding of investigation and disciplinary process * Comfort with delivering and improving upon KPI's * Health and Safety knowledge of vehicle operations and controls * Ability to learn and act quickly, make decisions and draw conclusions in the face of ambiguity * Numerical and literacy skills to compile reports and necessary documentation as required * CPC preferred but not essential What You'll Get in Return: * Permanent contract * Free Onsite Parking (where available) * 33 days of annual leave * Excellent working environment * Opportunity to earn 500/ 1,000 for recommending a friend - Wayfair Referral Program! * Excellent career development opportunities About Wayfair Wayfair is one of the world's largest online destinations for the home.
