The role Westminster are seeking to invest in a talented Senior Systems Administrator who is keen to develop their experience in supporting a range of enterprise wide technologies including Windows, SharePoint, Office 365 and Identity and Access management Working across a broad range of technologies you will act as a technical expert providing system administration and 3rd line support as well supporting, configuring, packaging and maintaining Windows infrastructure, Exchange, SQL and Office 365. Working with the wider IT Teams, support the performance, security and availability of services that will be key in enabling the University to deliver services to our student and staff community Your profile * A strong background of working within a Windows system administration and 3rd line support of a broad range of infrastructure and enterprise technologies. * Experience of automating processes and using scripting tools such as PowerShell * Experience of deployment and installation of infrastructure software ideally with some experience of application packaging including SCCM and Scripting tools * Strong experience of working in an ITIL environment with experience in problem and incident management within a large complex environment * Strong experience of continual service improvement and the evolution of services to better prepare business units for future challenges Communication * You will be a self-motivated and dynamic individual who is able to be adaptable and flexible and able to adjust to new situations and environments * Effective oral and written communication skills, with a logical and pragmatic approach to tasks * Ability to communicate with people at all levels, including the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical users * Ability to create and maintain documentation, including knowledge base articles, technical documentation, update solution designs, etc. As an employer of choice, the University of Westminster offers an extensive benefits package including: * Competitive salary of £47,593 - £51,519 dependent upon experience * 35 days annual leave plus Christmas closure days, public holidays * Competitive pension package * A healthy work-life balance for all employees * Professional and personal development and training opportunities Closing date: 10th May Video interviews will be held remotely for this role on Tuesday 19th May For more detailed information, please contact Amanda Whicher or Hannah Groves Visit our dedicated recruitment website to find out why you should join the University of Westminster hays.co.uk/jobs/university-of-westminster Employment Type: ["PART_TIME"]
