Job Requisition Number: 81751 The goal of Bloomberg Connectivity & Integration Solutions \(CIS\) group is to provide stable, secure, and self\-service connectivity to the firm and a platform for customers to receive data in the formats they choose, from different Bloomberg business lines\. Our enterprise clients and vendors want tight integration of Bloomberg products with their own highly complex and time sensitive software systems\. With ever increasing demands for more capabilities in data transformation and analytics, we are building our platform offering \(Integration Platform as a Service \- iPaaS\) through an architecture using a combination of open source, third party, and in\-house technologies to meet these demands\. This team \(ENG Integration Workflows\) within the integration part of ENG connectivity and integration serves three roles\. We provide data registration \(APIs & best practices\), generic acquisition \(schedules and triggers\), and delivery \(to connectivity\) for other Bloomberg business\. We support and expand our hosted orchestration system that allows our internal implementations staff to create more complex workflows on behalf of our customers\. Finally, we provide custom data acquisition tasks specifically on behalf of Trading Systems\. As a contractor of our team, you will be responsible for the support and maintenance of these client\-facing integration services\. Your key focus will be to make improvements to our services and UI focusing on maintenance, deprecation, tooling, or small feature requests\. ### You'll need to have: + Experience in Python, C\+\+, and JavaScript + Efficient software engineering skills to complete and deploy small changes quickly and safely ### We'd love to see: + Experience with Perl + Experience supporting and improving an older codebase ### Our upcoming projects: + Deprecate feature flag switches safely + Move scripts from Python 2 to Python 3 + Port software packages away from Unix utilities and Perl to Python + Add tooling to support common support questions + Fixing JavaScript issues in the UI ### \ Please note this role falls within IR35\ You can also learn more about the products we build at: /
