Scope Personnel are happy to be recruiting on behalf of our client for a HGV VMU Manager. This role will require you to work a 45 hour week Monday - Friday between the hours of 06:00am - 18:00pm. Salary on this role is negotiable, but is anywhere in the region of £45,000 - £50,000. Experience in the same or a similar role is essential. Duties & Requirements include; * Dealership/commercial background * To be familiar in running a busy fleet workshop * Be familiar in dealing with legal compliance * Be able to manage efficiency and productivity * Experienced in P&L accounts * Able to manage KPI's and be proven to achieve targets * Manage and motivate a successful workforce * Running of an ATF lane / MOT conformity * Managing maintenance intervals/schedules * Monitoring FPM spend against SLA's * Accurate and timely management of processing jobs * Liaising with external contractors * IT literate (Kerridge an advantage) * Electronic service/compliance * Excellent telephone manner * Processing and promoting warranty work * Class 1 HGV would be an advantage * Defining market targets for workshops within the framework of performance targets together with the company management, drawing up a corresponding annual plan * Controlling cost management for own department * Compiling and maintaining a resource plan for the workshop and developing concepts and measures for work load optimisation * Ensuring planning for facilities, bays, machines, tools, diagnosis installations, etc. is carried out correctly; optimal design of workplaces and processes * Preparing planning and calculations for investments in workshops, facilities and HR together with the company management * Determining HR requirements using best practice and employment law guidelines. * Managing, coaching and motivating employees to ensure a high quality of staff * Together with employees, establishing business objectives and personal development goals and monitoring performance against agreed targets * Ensuring correct completion of Vehicle Health Checks, upsell conversions and follow up of unsold, deferred work process * Ensuring all technical test equipment and tools are available and ready for use * Guaranteeing cleanliness and orderliness of workshops and ensuring quality control of all completed tasks If you are currently looking for a new role and would like to discuss this position further, please call Josh on 0151 541 5900 or apply here.
