Job Description
Amazon is looking for highly motivated and skilled Sr. PM Network Operations for the Amazon Global Logistics (AGL) EU Export Operations team. AGL is dedicated to building, managing and operating a global logistics network that enables B2C cross borders shipments from anywhere in the world and delivers to customer anywhere in the world, cost effectively. The AGL EU Export Operations team is responsible for Carrier Management, Network Design & Operations. In this role the candidate will own the AGL Network Operations component with Fulfillment Centers, Sort Center, Line-Haul operations engagement and performance and is expected to lead projects aimed to ensure that AGL exports meet goals of Speed, Service, Quality, and Cost. This role will bridge the gap between AGL and Amazon EU Fulfillment Network and Supply Chain to ensure both continuous improvements in the existing picture and future programs will optimize exports operations. This individual must have strong relationship building skills, high levels of earned trust and a background in lean process improvement. The ideal candidate will be skilled at developing reporting metrics and acting on those metrics to drive operational improvement. This is a high visibility role with frequent leadership interaction. The candidate must excel at breaking down complex principle into clear projects and direction, as well as drive action through personal engagement with multiple stakeholders. This individual will drive performance improvement opportunities by standardize processes across the network and AGL related configurations simplifying and automating them in close collaboration with multiple Tech teams and EU Configuration/Trans. Key Responsibilities: Own EU Sort Centers, Fulfillment Centers, Continuous Improvements, Line-haul relationships to ensure partner success Work closely with the internal stakeholders to troubleshoot defects and optimize processes. Own scope, prioritization and performances for cost/defect/speed reduction projects and related AGL targets Identify at-risk operations and develop/execute contingency plans to minimize service failures Lead Weekly Business Reviews (WBRs), Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs) and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR's), involving senior management from AGL and partner teams to discuss performance trends and strategic initiatives Support AGL Operations Peak Readiness Plans, owning the network component, and provide on-site support in critical facilities as needed Strong data / reporting ability to ensure that partner programs and existing projects are performance measured.
