Overview: The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for partnering with WarnerMedia International Stakeholders to develop and delivery data engineering, data integration and data pipeline capabilities in support of our DTC products. To be successful in the role you'll need to be intellectually curious, detail-oriented, open to new ideas and create new ideas, solution approach and possess good data skills and strong aptitude for quantitative methods. The role requires experience with SQL, Advanced SQL with NoSQL/RDBMS preferable with Snowflake DB Cloud Database. And role also requires data warehouses, data lake, knowledge of scripting languages python3, operating on linuxOS, Cloud Infrastructure preferably AWS. Experience and understanding of BI tools and data modeling like snowflake, star schema, ODS and MPP/SMP systems. What you'll be doing: + Thorough understanding of WarnerMedia International's business, ad tech, and data. + Design, Develop and Deploy data engineering and pipeline capabilities that includes a focus on consistency, scale and operational excellence, providing better data quality aspects with optimal and performance solutions. + Create, identify and maintain data patterns, metadata and provide better solution which adhere to data governance, compliance and security policy. + Create solutions to transform data from various sources and load it into the WarnerMedia International Data Platform + Develop and maintain standards for administration and operation including the scheduling, running, monitoring, logging, management of errors, recovery from failures, and validation of outputs. + Contribute to the project planning process by estimating tasks and deliverables. + Work closely with Architect, Track leads, Business Intelligence Managers, Business users, Data Architects, Business Analysts, Scrum Masters and peer developers to understand requirements, design and develop data solutions. + Be at the cutting edge of utilizing data about consumers in the media industry to improve audience experience. + Help out with complex analytical tasks. What we're looking for: Required Skills: + Solid experience as a database developer in building data pipeline using scripting and SQL environment on cloud infrastructure. + Experience with data management/business intelligence concepts, methodologies, and technologies. + Familiarity with FOSS and Cloud tools. + Proven experience working in Data Warehouse, Data Lake, Data Mart environment. + Expert knowledge in SQL and Data Pipeline. + Expertise in database platforms such as RDBMS or NOSQL platforms. + Experience with "big data" platform such as Spark, Hadoop, NoSQL DBs or cloud-based databases such as Snowflake. + Familiar with Agile and SCRUM methodologies. + Self-starter, team oriented and very analytical mindset. + Excellent planning, organization and time management skills including the ability to support and prioritize multiple projects. + Track record of consistently delivering projects and taking accountability for work and results. + Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. + Ability to partner with various teams (non-technical to technical). + Demonstrates forward thinking and plans ahead for potential roadblocks; comprehends bigger picture of the business strategy. + Strong oral, written and presentation skills. Desirable Skills: + Coding skills in one of the modern languages Python, Scala, Java,Unix Shell, SQL and Advanced SQL + Specific application experience with media, Web analytics and consumer data systems will be a plus. + Preference for prior technology or media company experience. + Experience working with Cloud Environment, NoSQL Database such as Snowflake, Linux Platform and Containers.
