Position Overview: We are currently recruiting for a Feed on Operator to join the Barbour team based at South Shields. This is a key role within the Factory and is responsible for maintaining line feed-on and work in progress requirements which will enable the Factory to meet productivity, quality, and delivery targets . Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * To sort and set up cut work blocks to the loading table and load all Diablos (Hangers) with jacket parts ready for manufacture. * To meet productivity targets in relation to making garments to meet deadlines as identified on the production schedule. * To meet agreed quality standards aiming for 'right first time'. * To report any defective equipment to your Team Leader and maintain the general housekeeping of your own workplace. Skills and Experience: * Competent in handling numerical data * Good verbal and written communication skills * Manual dexterity skills * Good eye for detail * Able to work quickly and accurately * Able to work as part of a team * Comfortable working within a pressurised environment to achieve targets Benefits: * Discretionary Company bonus scheme * Staff discount * Staff shop * Healthcare cash plan * 25 days holiday as standard increasing with length of service plus bank holidays * Free onsite parking * Subsidised canteen Additional information: * The role can be physically demanding due to all tasks being carried out from a standing position. * This role is based in our Factory at South Shields working Monday to Friday on a shift basis between 7am & 8pm as a result of adjustments to the standard working pattern to meet social distancing requirements. This is a temporary arrangement after which the standard working pattern of Monday to Thursday 7.45am - 5.15pm will apply.
