Job Description
Amazon Global Logistics (AGL) is dedicated to building, managing and operating a global logistics network that enables selection from anywhere in the world and delivers customer orders to anywhere in the world, cost effectively. We are looking for a customer-obsessed Senior Program Manager to lead transportation initiatives. As a Senior Program Manager, you will help solve a variety of technical challenges in the logistics space. You will play an active role directing a portfolio of projects, evaluating business and functional requirements to ensure we create and deploy flexible, scalable platforms to allow unfettered growth across all of Amazon's business lines. You will also invent new features to support new business initiatives and functional needs. In addition, successful candidates will be able to lead by example, balance development responsibilities while participating in cross team efforts including architecture planning. To be successful in this role, you should be comfortable gathering requirements across retail and trans systems, creating and maintaining technical plans and diving into the technical details to understand the nuances and complexities involved. Responsibilities include: Will be responsible for driving the technical components of new logistic flows, countries expansion and carriers launch in close collaboration with AGL Program/Project Managers and Operations Team including requirements collections, negotiation with external 3PLs Tech Teams and internal interactions with multiple Tech Teams in charge of deploying the needed actions.. Will anticipate bottlenecks, own and manage multiple projects that span a variety of functional areas and geographies. This position involves regular communication with senior management on project status and risks. Cross-team coordination, project management and executive presentation skills are essential. Manage relationship and tech discussion with Logistics provider's Tech team including joining regular detailed business operations reviews with carriers to drive accountability and ensure Amazon's standards and requirements are being met Scope new carrier and country launches, compliance mandates and drive the necessary BRDs and resource planning in order to assure business and projects timelines will me meet on-time Work closely with various AGL internal teams (Procurement, PM, Capabilities and Ops) to troubleshoot defects and optimize technical solutions and processes
