Job Description
Are you positive, enthusiastic and committed? My client is looking for a Children's Home Team Leader with a zest for life to join their residential home, for vulnerable children and young people, providing a supportive environment for learning and development. You will assist the home manager in leading, motivating and supporting a team of support workers. My client is offering a New Starter Bonus, therefore if you join us and have a Level 3 Children & Young Peoples Workforce (Social Care Pathway), or what they deem to be equivalent you will receive a 1000 bonus paid in instalments. Children's Home Team Leader Duties and Responsibilities: * Undertake the day to day management of the household as directed by the home manager or assistant manager * Offer professional practice support meetings to staff to complement staff supervision * Encourage, support and guide members of the staff team * Be the Key Worker for individual children * Attend Case Reviews, Planning Meetings and any other meetings as required * Undertake specific administration tasks within the unit as directed by the Home Manager * Actively participate in supervision, appraisal, training, meetings & consultancies * Maintain records as required * Contribute to the development of the children and young people through the provision of a healthy life style * To be alert to signs of distress or abuse and to ensure that the children and young people are monitored and protected and have their needs met ensuring that all safeguarding needs are met. * Contribute to care planning and the implementation of these plans Requirements * Level 3 in Residential Childcare or Level 3 Children and Young People's Workforce Diploma * At least 2 years experience in a senior role * Full UK driving license * Ability to be flexible and work shifts Benefits Salary: 10.60 per hour * Pension Auto-enrolment * 'Pay Care Scheme', this is a company health care benefit. * 'Perk Box', * Annual Leave Service Award * Long Service Bonus of 750 given after 5 continuous full time years of employment * NVQ Bonus when complete Level 5 (750 in total) in instalments * Refer a friend scheme for both qualified and unqualified * Free meals on shift * Company pays for DBS as well as reimburses cost for update service each year Closing date: Thursday 14th November 2019 Interview: ASAP Contact: Priya at Job Paths 4 U Job Paths 4 U is an Employment Agency and an Employment Business.
