Overview
We are looking to recruit a Social Worker - Childrens Locality Team with the Social Care industry in Stockport. The vacancy in Stockport will be for an initial 3-6 months with potential for extension subject to internal circumstance and your performance. Responsibilities include: Mentoring newly qualified social workers Liaising with other professionals Knowledge of relevant legislation Holding complex cases Carrying out initial safeguarding enquiries and s42 enquiries Providing advice to the public, partner agencies and regulated care providers in relation to safeguarding concerns Completing home visits and safeguarding assessments and reports Working with people at risk, and people who have caused harm Attending multidisciplinary meetings Completing referrals to relevant agencies for support Experience preferred: Post qualifying experience of working within an Adults Locality Team or Safeguarding Team.
