We are looking for an Account Manager to join our Investment Team, with strong experience managing a team to achieve results, improving processes, strong client & account management skills and pipeline forecasting skills. Our Investment Team is the core operational/client facing team at Seedrs: we are responsible for taking care of entrepreneurs that raise funds with Seedrs throughout the investment journey, from pitch preparation & review and pre-launch planning, campaign launch and maximising the chances of success of the fundraise, due diligence and managing the terms of the investment. The team is growing and we are now looking for a senior hire to help manage the team. What you'll do: The manager will report to the Chief Investment Officer and be a leader within the Investment Team. The role will encompass 3 key functions: People management: you will manage a team of investment associates/senior investment associates. You will be responsible for setting clear performance targets, tracking individual and team performance against targets, instiling a high standard and work ethic within the team and be an inspiring and supportive leader. Account management: you will act as a role model for account management and upskill the team on best practice client service. You will need to be passionate about serving our clients and delivering outcomes for them. We manage clients through a long process at what can be a stressful time for their business: you will need to be able to build rapport under pressure and get buy-in from our clients on process and timeframes. Pipeline management/forecasting: a key aspect of the this role will be to report on the investment team pipeline, keeping our reporting information up to date to ensure accurate forecasting. You will also need to proactively identify opportunities and lead initiatives to improve team & process efficiency, conversion rates, client success and timeframes - a key part of the role is to consider the scalability of the function. What we're looking for: * Someone with a genuine interest in the industry and with an enthusiasm for the changing landscape of alternative finance and a passion for entrepreneurship. * Strong people management skills: 2-3 years of experience managing a team of direct reports, with a proven track record of success. * Experience of account management: our team is responsible for working with our clients on a daily basis, supporting entrepreneurs through their fundraise and often directly communicating with our investors. * Experience of managing a pipeline: our team handles a pipeline often in excess of 200 clients, at various stages of their fundraising journey. * Experience of using a CRM tool. * Adaptive to a fast-paced and dynamic environment, you will be able to manage your own time, and work on a number of projects and tasks at a time. You'll know where we are on all fronts, push things forward and keep the rhythm of the team going - on both deliverables (ie keeping to targets/deadlines) and team management matters (eg reviews, performance management). * Ideally, you'll understand investment terms and structures but as long as you're intellectually curious then you'll be able to pick this up on the job. * Legally authorised to work in the UK.
