Job Description

The role of General Manager for Maternity Services is as much a way of life as a senior operational job. This post is a truly pivotal role in the Trust and will present a fresh and demanding challenge every day: if you're up for this and thrive on delivering high performance, then we want to hear from you now. The role is offered as a 2 year Fixed Term contract or secondment opportunity. The person we are looking for will work with the Clinical Service Director - Maternity and all of the senior directorate team to take the service on to new levels of sustained and consistently high performance. The qualities you will need to display will be high energy and enthusiasm, leadership both by example and through strong people management and excellent relationship building both within the Trust and with key local partners. In particular you will need resilience to meet the constant challenges of a very stretching agenda and to support your team in achieving all key access targets, financial targets and annual plan objectives. You will demonstrate that you can translate the delivery of the highest quality care into the most effective and productive service. Ultimately, the responsibility for delivering all this rests with you and the Clinical Service Director - Maternity.
