This is an opportunity to join an early-stage team in Amazon Logistics to launch a new and innovative business in the B2C shipping space. We are looking for a driven, entrepreneurial, and analytical Partnerships and Business Development Manager for the UK. The ideal candidate will be excited by partnering in launching a new start-up and will have familiarity with leading B2B business development and partnership activities. To be able to serve our customers, Amazon Shipping will require a web of connections ("integrations") with a variety of ecommerce solutions including order and shipping-related software. As we are reinventing everything from go-to-market strategy to lead generation, we are looking for a seasoned individual that will help us define the ecosystem of organisations that provide integrations and/or services to our mutual customers and develop both tech and channel partnerships. The successful Business Development Manager will be comfortable navigating ambiguity and operating in a start-up environment. We expect the person in this position to create tech, sales and marketing strategies from the ground up and to successfully execute upon our ambitious product adoption goals. The ideal candidate will have experience developing relationships across functional areas such as Tech, Operations, Procurement, Finance, Legal, Sales and Marketing and has a proven track record of meeting and exceeding program goals. This high-calibre individual will enjoy developing strong relationships with external partner executives, will nurture and expand existing partnerships, establish new opportunities, demonstrate results and build business cases for further investment. The role would suit a "general athlete" with a high-calibre commercial background and a passion for learning about technology, or someone with a background in the parcel industry. Roles and Responsibilities: Develop deep and broad relationships with executives at partner organisations Lead commercial and contractual negotiations with new counter-parties and onboard them as partners Develop a network of order management systems and multi-carrier platforms partners across Europe Lead tech integrations with partners by collaborating with tech and product teams Lead channel partnership activities with existing partners in collaboration with sales and marketing teams Identify other new both tech and channel partnership opportunities, defining a business cases to justify further investment (e.g. marketplaces, agencies, consultancies, brokers, resellers, other organisations that provide integrations and/or services to our mutual customers) Work with Amazon Shipping sales, marketing, product, operations teams to drive customer adoption of partner integrations Create program goals and related metrics, track progress and manage through obstacles to achieve your objectives Share learnings and adopt Best of Amazon practices across marketplaces (rest of EU, US, etc) Analyze current processes and our customers' pain-points and evaluate opportunities for solutions to improve end user experiences, reduce costs, and accelerate organization performance Assess program risks, anticipate challenges, and provide escalation management when necessary This role will be based in London and with moderate travel (maximum 25%).
