Location: Frenchay - Bristol, BS16 1UU Who we are? The Huntercombe Group are one of the UK's leading specialist healthcare providers, with hospitals and centres throughout England and Scotland. Delivering a wide range of services in adult mental health and learning disabilities, specialist brain injury, child and adult mental health services (CAMHS) including eating disorders and social care for children with special needs. Our Frenchay Location Working in partnership with North Bristol NHS Trust, the Frenchay Brain Injury Rehabilitation Centre facility specialises in the treatment of individuals with complex physical and cognitive impairments, challenging behaviours and neuropsychiatric disorders resulting from brain injury. We provide two levels of rehabilitation at this Centre, one for complex and severe impairments following a brain injury and the second a continuation of the first, for patients who have the potential to improve further to either enable them to return home or to a community setting with reduced future care needs. Many of our patients staying with us require assistance with personal care, as well as feeding and nutrition and regular skin integrity inspections. Your role as a Night Rehabilitation Assistant As a Night Rehabilitation Assistant, you will work under the direction and professional leadership of our nursing staff to ensure the highest standards of care. You will be actively involved in everyday activities, such as washing, dressing, continence and mouth care. You will be responsible for diet and fluid intake, which includes feeding patients and an involvement with swallow programmes for individuals. You will also be expected to accompany our medically stable patients to appointments and participate in social programmes, such as Games Nights, cinema trips and Video Nights. You will also be required to maintain both written and electronic records of care provided for each patient you provide support for as well as being available to talk and listen to patients, relatives and carers.
