Apprenticeship Placement Qualification : Teaching Assistant Level 3 Location : Client placement Salary : c.140 p/w Hours : 35 hours p/w About LMP Group LMP Group focuses on education, training and social impact; working together to bring about positive, sustainable change. LMP Education, is a division of LMP Group and provides apprenticeship training . Job Purpose Working within a school environment, enhancing your teaching skills through practical experience. Earn while you learn and gain a recognised qualification and valuable experience to further your future education or employment opportunities. Responsibilities: It is not exhaustive, and it is not intended that every Apprentice will undertake the full range of tasks: * Support the teacher within the classroom and help students with the understanding of the work the teacher has supplied * Raise standards of achievement for all pupils * Encourage pupils to become more independent learners * Provide support for their emotional, social and physical welfare * Support the inclusion of pupils in all aspects of school life * To work under the direction of the Line Manager, class teachers and other staff to support the learning of whole classes, selected groups or individuals as instructed Training Focus This training programme focuses on developing classroom delivery and work within schools. The qualification aims to grow your existing skillset in the following key areas: * Increased mastery of the critical stages of child and adolescent development. * Enhance understanding of the types of influences that can affect this development. * Become fully adept in supporting teachers with the planning of activities, as well as creating own activity plans. * Evaluation of personal performance in relation to supporting literacy, numeracy, and ICT. * Amplify knowledge of safeguarding, and emergency procedures. * Understand legislation with regard to confidentiality, data protection, and information sharing. All Apprentices are required to attend learning sessions by LMP Education; this is essential in order to work towards the end qualification. Failure to adhere to this may result in a loss of placement or removal from our recruiting database Desired Skills * Essential : Grade A*-C (or new equivalent) in English and Maths * Knowledge of/willingness to learn about how children develop * How to support children in literacy and/or numeracy; how children learn and how to motivate them etc. * Knowledge and understanding of/willingness to learn about behaviour management strategies. * Able to communicate and break down information to make it learnable * Motivated and enthusiastic * A confident communicator * Professionally presented * Punctual and reliable * Problem solving and ability to set up class activities Work Environment Your work environment for the nature of this role will be based on site at a client office location, this can vary depending upon our client's needs and geographical location.Your role will usually be based at a head office or regional site with certain assessment days and training periods being held off site.Our clients are professional, ambitious and focus on employee growth & development.
