We Make Websites are the go-to agency for Shopify Plus. We design, develop and optimise e-commerce websites for the world's most ambitious brands. Brands we work with include: PepsiCo, Finisterre, DeBeers, SkinnyDip, Cluse, Bulletproof Coffee, Penguin Books, Beavertown Brewery, Emma Bridgewater, Harper Collins, National Portrait Gallery, Nicce, Press and The Economist. We're a team of 55+ designers, developers, solutions architects, e-comm consultants and marketers - spread across our London and New York offices. What we're looking for We're seeking an experienced Account Manager (we call these Account Strategists internally) to help us develop and grow our portfolio of e-commerce clients. As part of our Client Services team, you will be working with clients to define their e-commerce roadmap; distilling your ideas and their goals into deliverable action plans for our in-house production team. The ideal candidate will be have a track record of building strong, long-lasting client relationships that drive revenue - preferably having done this within an e-commerce agency. Practical experience * 3+ years' experience working in a client-facing role at a digital agency or in-house in an e-commerce role. * Ability to demonstrate detailed knowledge of e-commerce landscape and trends. * Experience delivering successful digital campaigns and/or projects for a variety of clients. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Excellent knowledge of the e-commerce ecosystem, retail operations and digital marketing. * Experience of delivering excellent customer service. Bonus points if you have * Experience using and extracting insights from analytics platforms. * Knowledge and understanding of multi-currency selling/internationalisation. * Experience using the Shopify / Shopify Plus platform. What you'll be doing : * Developing and nurturing a trusted advisor relationship with clients - you'll be their primary point of contact. * Providing excellent client service and strategic e-commerce advice, with the aim of retaining and developing client accounts. * Proactively identifying opportunities to improve clients' e-commerce businesses * Carrying out insight analysis on clients' websites, to inform planning and quarterly pitches. * Ensuring the client briefs are digested, clear and ready for the production team to action. * Communicating project schedules and status updates * Working closely with Project Managers to ensure work is delivered to client briefs / expectations. * Working closely with Sales team to onboard and integrate new clients. * Working closely with Design, Development and Solutions teams to help formulate enhancements and strategic improvements to client websites. * Sharing successful ideas and strategies with other members of Client Services team Undertaking 'growth activities' outside of the day-to-day, e.g. attending client/partner/industry events, contributing to blog posts or writing client case studies for our website.
