Job Description
Maven is a proprietary trading and market making organisation formed in 2011. We are the most active participant in most of the products we trade, contributing significant liquidity to markets around the world. We have offices in London, Hong Kong and New York and will be opening a Chicago office as part of our plans to expand our coverage of derivatives markets. We are looking for ambitious and proactive US Options Market Makers with a proven profit / risk management history to be a part of our expanding trading operation. The candidate will be based in London initially for a period of 6-12 months and will then relocate to Chicago to play an active role in setting up our US operation. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Day-to-day responsibility of trading the relevant Index, Fixed Income or Commodity options book listed on US exchanges * Rigorous risk management and perfect compliance with regulatory rules * Improving strategies through analysis, prototyping and collaboration with developers * Proactive behaviour in helping other books achieve their goals through observation and analysis of trading behaviour * Designing and implementing new trading strategies * Openness to trading new products and willingness to set them up * To comply with all applicable Compliance policies, procedures, laws and regulations. CANDIDATE SPECIFICATIONS: * Prior options market making experience * Successful track record of proven P&L and market share * Good understanding of trading systems * Outstanding numerical and analytical skills * Proactive interest in improving existing trading strategies and identifying new opportunities * Ability to take a high level of responsibility in an expanding, highly successful firm * Excellent attention to detail * Fast problem solving skills * Embodiment of Maven's core values: Integrity and fairness, market leading, creativity, individual and collective success, discipline and accountability * Programming skills (desirable)
