Band 5 Rotational Physiotherapist

Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust ,
Salisbury, Wiltshire

Overview

Job Description

Salisbury Therapy Services are looking for new or experienced, talented Band 5 Physiotherapists to join the physiotherapy rotations in this medium sized and friendly District General Hospital. We have 4 posts available due to internal promotion and vacancies. Salisbury has all the expected core rotations (Orthopaedics, Outpatients, Acute Medicine and Surgery, Stroke Unit, Older Persons Rehab) as well as opportunities to undertake more specialist rotations, such as the Spinal Rehabilitation Centre, Burns & Plastics, Children's Services and OPAL. Our rotations are currently 6 months in duration, allowing you the time to acquire and consolidate clinical skills and experience in each of the specialties. As a Band 5 you will be supported in developing your core skills in assessing, treating and managing a caseload of patients across various wards and departments. You will have the freedom to act within broad occupational policies and will be accountable for your own actions. You will be expected to monitor and support the work of the Therapy Assistants, as well as contributing to the improvement of therapy services. We would also welcome applications from undergraduates qualifying in 2020 who can demonstrate a clear commitment to Salisbury, as we are able to be flexible regarding start dates, potentially starting in an assistant role pending HCPC registration. Part-time hours would also be considered. Your development is important to us and so you will have access to supervision, mentorship and internal clinical and leadership training, as well as encouragement to contribute to service development and staff training. You will be HCPC registered, with a BSc, Diploma or equivalent in Physiotherapy. Experience of working in the NHS will be necessary (this could be on clinical placements) and experience of working in a range of clinical settings would be an advantage.
